Performing Fiber Arts

This project is a fun little collaboration between the fiber art class and the photography class at JMU.  For the Fiber Art class they had to create an object(s) out of wool using the felting technique and “use them” for their intended purpose; while for us photographers, we had to create a scene and capture the performative aspect of their work and then compile them into a video.  My partner created an axe out of wool and I came up with doing a lumberjack theme.

This page is divided into two sections.  The first is a video which tells a story about a proud lumberjack who enjoys gathering wood and chopping down trees; however, modern technology threatens the liveliness of the forest and the lumberjack.

The second is all the photos individually put together in the order that they were photographed in to better see the photographs.
